Geiger Counter/Gamma Ray Spectrometry

Let's try spectrometry with an iMetry. iMetry can be the perfect solution for introductory physics experiments in High schools or junior high schools.

To get started with spectrometry, you need a list of gamma ray spectra emitted from various sources.
Idaho National Library Gamma-ray spectrometry center has a brilliant catalog of Gamma-rays. As iMetry uses CsI for scintillation, values for NaI might be applied.

For further study, and nuclear source definitive identification, GR1 by Kromek corporation is strongly recommended. Its easy to use, and no need for nitogen gas bottole, much affordable than Germanium system. But it's resolution is clear as good as GE based one. FWHM is around 2.0%. And it's stable, and reliable.
